Our natural shampoo comes in compostable packaging. plastic-free and made entirely from plants. We use a blend of bamboo and plant starch, sourced exclusively from waste plant material, including leftovers from bamboo chopsticks and potato peelings from crisps. This makes the refills fully compostable at home, breaking down in less than a year without leaving harmful residues like microplastics. Even if you don’t have a compost heap, they can be put in general waste, where they will naturally decompose. This will be Tesco’s first ever compostable haircare range and signifies a huge shift from the reliance of single-use plastic packaging.
